Volunteering

Definition

Merriam-Webster’s definition to volunteer, is to give of yourself in service to a cause. It is about freely giving your time to help an organization, your community, or an individual. Dedicating your time as a volunteer helps you make new friends, expand your network, and boost your social skills.

New Frontiers is a volunteer lifelong learning organization founded in 1995, and sponsored by Mesa Community College, one of the Maricopa Community Colleges.  Members source and facilitate classes both online and in person, provide support for the operations of New Frontiers, and volunteer for MCC activities.

Please contact Mary Adamick about requests for MCC event volunteers and information.

The Mesa Market provides free food and hygiene products for Mesa Community College students. Any MCC student can visit Student Life and Leadership anytime our office is open and a team member will lead you to the Mesa Market to do your "shopping." Students can receive up to 10 free food items and 5 free hygiene items per week.

In addition to offering free food and hygiene products, we also offer free donated clothes for students at our Southern and Dobson campus only. Our clothes are located outside of the Mesa Market in KSC135S. If you would like to donate clothes to the market, please visit Student Life and Leadership.
